Ben Hammil a.k.a. MATCH
Short temper and often underestimated, Ben has spent his time in the X-academy on the side, never truly finding his place among other, more easy-going mutants. Suffering from an inferiority complex due to his relatively common set of powers, Ben felt for a longtime that he lacked the talents needed to be a good soldier, even less a good leader.
But the events led Ben to take on more of an active role, and in the field of one of their greatest fight against the Sublime Army, he revealed himself to be an passionate leader and a clever tactician.
He has a strong and complex relationship with ex-lover Valeria Richards, leader of the Futurist Four.
His powers is pyrokinesis. He can create and control fire, can fly, emit a constant heat and low-temperature flame.
He is leader of the X-MEN.
He is now called... SUNFIRE!
